DDB staff worked together in teams to create a list of 25 reasons why DDB is such a great school—a reminder of all the amazing things that have happened this year and a boost of inspiration to finish the year strong! Even our students joined the celebration by making posters showing just how much they love being part of the DDB family!

On Wednesday, DDB celebrated Para Professional Appreciation Day. We were able to treat our group to a catered lunch and special gifts for each one of them!
Kind, empathetic, patient, compassionate. These words could be used to describe any one of our para’s. Their commitment to working with our most vulnerable students is so deeply appreciated. We are so grateful to have the opportunity to celebrate all of your hard work. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO 🙏🏻
Pictured in our learning center is Ms. Aylin, Ms. Helena, Ms. Maribel, Mr. Roman, and Mr. Mike 🤗
Big shout out to Randall's Restaurant for catering this lunch and going so far as to make homemade bread rolls for our team. When we all come together, we can make a difference. We couldn’t do what we do without our wonderful community. 💙

🌟 Field Trip Fun at Red Rock State Park! 🌟
Our DDB 1st and 2nd grade class had an amazing time at Red Rock State Park the week before Spring Break! 🦉🐾 Mrs. Rebstein and Ms. Moncibaez’s class explored the park and learned all about animal habitats. This field trip was the perfect hands-on extension of our CKLA Knowledge 8 unit on Animals and Habitats. 🌳
The students were excited to spot different animals and observe how they interacted with their surroundings. We learned about different types of habitats, local to our area, and saw firsthand how animals make their homes in each environment. 🏞️
What a wonderful way to make our classroom learning come to life! Thank you, Red Rock State Park, for giving our students the opportunity to connect with nature in such an engaging way! 🌍

DDB loves our Garden 4 Humanity 21st Century Club. This amazing club, run by Joan Borque, Tovah and Kay, has always been a club fan favorite!!! From learning about water to seeds to bees, using natural materials, these ladies always have a beautifully organic method of teaching these students about the world around them.

DDB 5/6th grade had an amazing time in California this weekend. They went on a science lab boat to look at many different sea creatures, and spent some time on the beach. Then spent a day at SeaWorld and stopped by the Aquarium of the Pacific on their way home! Thank you, Project Exploration, for this wonderful opportunity for students.
