7th Grade Cottonwood Condor Aviation Club toured Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and got VIP treatment: they toured 3 state-of-the-art labs (crash lab, ATC lab, and flight simulation lab) and even got to sit in a Diamond plane and learn the controls on the flight line! We are so lucky to have this partnership with ERAU!

DDB Families! Mud Turtle is scheduled to run its regular route tomorrow, Tuesday 3/5/24. We appreciate your patience when interruptions happen with our routes.

DDB's 21st CCLC is fortunate to continue yoyo club, led by Nic SanGiovanni, who was taught as a child for our district's previous yoyo club leader Mr. Steele. These students will learn how to do over 50 tricks by the end of the semester and master about 20 of them. We have 2 clubs, a beginner and an advanced. We are so lucky to have Mr. Nic!

Hello CCS and DDB families! Here are the new routes for Mud Turtle @ DDB and Bobcat @ CCS. If your previous stop is no longer a part of these routes, please find a different means of transportation as you reside within 1 mile of your school. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we try to align our bus services the best we can. If you are interested in becoming a bus driver for the school district, please visit our website at www.cocsd.us and click on Human Resources.

Good Morning DDB families. The Mountain Lion bus route this morning will be done in an unfamiliar bus to the students. Please have your students aware their bus this morning is number 21-8, we will have a Mountain Lion magnet/character on the side of the bus so the students know it's their bus. Thank you for working with us through these times.-Daniel Maldonado Transportation Director

We regret to inform you that due to a shortage of bus drivers, we are facing challenges in maintaining our regular transportation services. As a result, we will no longer be able to transport students residing within a one-mile radius of our in-town schools, namely DDB and CCS, effective February 20th.
We understand the impact this decision may have on your child's transportation to and from school. We are actively working to address the bus driver shortage and hope to reintroduce the affected routes.
Additionally, there will be changes to the CCS Black Bear and Bobcat routes, which will be merged and redirected, and left under the Bobcat moniker. The DDB Mt. Lion and Mud Turtle routes will also be merged into the Mud Turtle route. We are currently finalizing the details of the new stops for these merged routes and will provide you with the information as soon as possible.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this challenging time. In the meantime, we urge you to make alternate transportation arrangements for your child before the specified end route date of February 20th.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and assure you that we are actively working to resolve the bus driver shortage to reinstate normal transportation services.
Thank you for your understanding and patience,
Daniel Maldonado
Transportation Director
