Good afternoon all, We had an unexpected fire drill today at CCS. Students were working in the Science lab at CCS and doing a science experiment. Some solution spilled and splashed into a nearby outlet causing smoke in the classroom. The classroom was evacuated which led to a school-wide fire alarm initiated. All students were evacuated to the field. The fire department came immediately and assessed the situation. Students have now returned to the classroom to finish their day. Maintenance and Facilities are addressing the problem. #CCS #COCSD # CottonwoodFD

Good afternoon CES families... It is with regret that I inform you the Torro route will be suspended until further notice, as of Mon Oct 21st. Our Transportation Department has lost 3 drivers in the last month and we cannot continue supporting this route with the amount of drivers we have. We will pick up the AM for tomorrow, Thurs 10/10 as planned, but there is still no PM route for tomorrow. For those who have become dependent upon this route service, we do apologize. It is only out of necessity that we do this. Hopefully, upon hiring more drivers, we can bring back the Torro route sometime later this school year.
