Starting in January, our 21st CCLC Programs are working hard to adapt to the new Wednesday early release schedule. If you haven’t already done so, please complete the Interest Survey to help us prepare for these changes. Please note that this survey is for interest only and does not guarantee enrollment. 🎉 Congratulations to Steve King, Yavapai County Superintendent 🎉 Today, in a heartwarming ceremony in Prescott, our former COCSD Superintendent, Steve King was officially sworn in and took the Oath of Office as our new Yavapai County School Superintendent. It was an incredible moment as he stood before a large, enthusiastic crowd, ready to serve and lead with dedication, passion, and a commitment to the future of all of our county's schools and students. We welcome all of our newly elected Yavapai County officials and wish them the best as they transition into their new roles. 🎯🏹 Congratulations to all the shooters who participated in COCSD's 2nd Annual Fun-Shoot on Saturday, December 14th! 🎉 We are thrilled to see our district’s archery program thriving, with dedicated shooters eager to learn and grow. A huge shoutout to Coach Guy Day for his tireless efforts in organizing and supporting quality coaching and programs. 👏 Special recognition goes to Izabella Miraldi Benavides and Juan Lara from CCS, who tied for the high score of 246 out of 300—amazing work! 📊 Overall school scores: 🏆 CCS: 1145 🥈 OCS: 942 🥉 DDB: 763 🎯 MVP: 679 We’d also like to extend a special thanks to the 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant for supporting student opportunities like this and helping us grow enriching programs across the district! Happy Holidays, MVP Families! As we approach the end of our first semester, our department is reviewing all routes to ensure they are as efficient as possible for our students, drivers, and schools. After careful consideration and due to a shortage of drivers this semester, we regret to inform you that the Cactus Mouse route will be discontinued starting with the new semester on Monday, January 6, 2025. We understand this may be disappointing, but with the low number of riders on this route, this is the most practical decision. We are actively working to hire more drivers and hope to resume this route in the future.
