Guy Day our 21CCLC OCS Archery Coach, has a way of teaching. He has trained our OCS kids to properly shoot with safety and precision. He has such great knowledge to pass on to our kids and they are learning so much.
Right now they are training for the big Archery Shoot on Saturday Dec. 14th from 9:00-1:00 pm
If you want to see a fun competition where all the schools compete. Come and watch our Archery Shoot headed up by Mr. Day.
OCS has great kids and fantastic coaches in our 21CCLC program.

🎉 Today, our 1st and 2nd graders celebrated an amazing achievement—demonstrating OCS’s STEM Principles! 😎🔬They spent the day at the creek, enjoying a fun picnic lunch, playing with friends, and spotting some cool wildlife! 🦋🐦 We’re so proud of their hard work and curiosity! #STEM #StudentSuccess #COCSDOutdoorLearning

Oak Creek School PTO wants to thank everyone who donated candy, cupcakes, and their time to OCS' Halloween Carnival & Haunted House this week! OCS PTO raised a little over $1,400 for Oak Creek School. Mrs. Ludden raised $150 for their Agriculture/Culinary program! Thank you to Low-Income Student Aid, Inc. for offering vouchers to our students. We love that LISA believes in inclusion. Kindergarten (Badger) is OCS's 1st place winner of the school's candy contest, and Mrs. Bond (3rd) is their 2nd place winner! 🎃

In 21 CCLC (After School Clubs) at OCS we had such a great experience in Science Vortex Extreme STEAM. Mrs. Laurie Altringer is our Club Leader along with a special volunteer Mr. Lansing who helps Ms. Laurie. They came last week and brought all the fixings to make prickly pear juice. They drew pictures of Prickly Pear cacti and juiced oranges and lemons to sweeten up the prickly pear then added a bit of monk powder to it. So Fun I can't wait to see what they do today..

Dear Parents,
COCSD and Mingus High School are teaming up to bring band programs to all four of our schools! Join us at Parent Night to learn more about these exciting after-school opportunities that will soon be available for your children.

This week and next, your children will have the opportunity to see the Mingus Band on tour at our schools! Be sure to ask them about it, and together, let's help grow this wonderful program in our community.

We are extending an invitation to decorate Masquerade Masks on October 10, 3:00-5:30, at the Cottonwood Public Library. It should be a creative time; filled with fun and camaraderie. These masks will be auctioned off either at our November Gala or our Mystery Event (TBD) . Hopefully, COCSD and the Verde Valley community would be interested in participating in this event by attending the mask decorating. 😉Thanks, for always being so supportive of the positive mentorship of our Verde children. Have an awesome week.
With a Sincere Thank You,

Good morning OCS families! Due to too many riders on the Antelope bus, we will be moving some students over to the Big Horn Sheep bus to accommodate. All of those who's stops are along the Page Springs stretch will now be on the Big Horn Sheep bus for both the AM and PM routes, with the exception of Page Springs and Bright Star. This will begin tomorrow, Friday Sept 27. The routes have been updated on our website so you can see the times from there. Thank you for your understanding! - Daniel Maldonado, Transportation Director
